Jeremy Rhineman Case

Plaintiff was involved in a gang shooting in parking lot by Lucky store employees in an all Mexican Barrio part of Glendale. Plaintiff was one of many Skinheads attending a party down the street from the store. Skinheads were exchanging words and gestures at the Mexican employee courtesy clerks. The employees challenged the skinheads to a fight at midnight after the store closed. PLaintiff went to store at 11:45 pm not knowing about the scheduled fight. He was jumped inside the store. He ran out of the store and was shot while running across the parking lot. He was 18 years old at the time of the shooting. Paraplegic - special needs Trust Annuity. $4.5 million paid new over future life expectancy.

Roundtree Case

Two dads took sons to Borrego Springs Desert. They took 22 cal rifles for target practice. While the two dads took a nap, one son shot an 8 year old boy who was riding on the back of a moving trail bike approximately 1/4 mile away. The bullet entered the boy's heart through his back, killing him. Both fathers homeowners insurance each paid policy limits of $100,000.
